Oxnard Elite Epoxy Flooring is a licensed and insured epoxy flooring contractor with over 15 years of experience installing resinous and polished concrete floors for residential and commercial properties in Oxnard, CA.

Our work covers garage floor coatings, decorative flake and chip systems, metallic epoxy, solid color epoxy, polyaspartic topcoats, commercial epoxy for offices, wineries and tenant improvements, packing house and cold storage flooring, urethane cement for wash-down and freezer service, quartz broadcast systems, ESD and anti-static flooring, chemical-resistant and novolac coatings, commercial kitchen flooring, showroom and retail floors, medical and cleanroom systems, diamond grinding and shot blasting, moisture vapor mitigation, mechanically polished concrete, floor repair and crack filling, OSHA line striping and safety marking, and patio and pool deck coatings.

Every system is specified against the exposure rather than the catalog. A strawberry cooling room gets urethane cement because hot sanitation and citric acid shear epoxy off a slab. A slab poured on irrigated Oxnard Plain ground gets a moisture reading before it gets a price.

A garage two miles from the beach gets a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat and a full flake broadcast for traction with wet feet on it.

We grind or shot blast to an ICRI surface profile rather than acid etching, test slab moisture to ASTM F1869 and ASTM F2170 before quoting, and check slab temperature against dew point on the morning of every pour so an epoxy never cures into an amine blush.

Licensed, insured and bonded, written workmanship warranty on every installation, and se habla español.

Our Epoxy Flooring Services in Oxnard, CA

Garage Floor Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Garage Floor Coatings

Garage floor coatings in Oxnard have to solve a problem inland contractors never think about: moisture. We sit on the Oxnard Plain a few feet above sea level, the marine layer keeps ambient relative humidity high most mornings, and a great many of these slabs were poured on irrigated agricultural ground with no vapor retarder underneath.

Flake & Chip Epoxy Systems in Oxnard, CA

Flake & Chip Epoxy Systems

Flake and chip epoxy systems are the most practical decorative floor available on the coast, for a reason that has nothing to do with looks: the broadcast texture gives you traction. In a beach town where people walk in with wet feet, sand and salt water, a smooth high-gloss floor is a liability, and a full flake broadcast with an aggregate-loaded clear coat is a genuinely safer surface.

Metallic Epoxy Floors in Oxnard, CA

Metallic Epoxy Floors

Metallic epoxy is the most decorative floor we install, and on the coast it is also the one people request by name, usually after seeing a blue-and-pearl floor that looks like moving water. Fine metallic pigment is dispersed into clear 100% solids epoxy, poured over a base-coated slab, then worked with squeegees, rollers, brushes and sometimes a heat gun until the pigment separates into veins, cells and drifts that read as marble or as swell lines.

Polyaspartic Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Polyaspartic Coatings

Polyaspartic coatings do two things that matter enormously on the Ventura County coast: they cure in conditions that give epoxy trouble, and they hold their color in sunlight. Chemically they are an aliphatic polyurea, and the aliphatic backbone is what makes them UV stable, so the floor keeps its gloss and its color where a standard epoxy clear turns the shade of weak tea within a year or two of daylight exposure.

Solid Color Epoxy Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Solid Color Epoxy Coatings

Solid color epoxy is the workhorse of resinous flooring and the correct answer far more often than the decorative systems suggest. It is pigmented 100% solids epoxy rolled at ten to twenty mils over a mechanically prepared slab, and it delivers a hard, non-porous, uniform, cleanable floor at the lowest cost per square foot of any real system.

Commercial Epoxy Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Commercial Epoxy Flooring

Commercial epoxy flooring covers the wide range between a house and a processing plant, and in Oxnard that range is unusually varied: agricultural offices and grading rooms, wineries and tasting rooms, breweries, gyms, churches, charter schools, salons, medical and dental suites, self-storage, marine service buildings around Channel Islands Harbor, city and county facilities, and the retail along Rose Avenue and at The Collection. What they share is not a material but a constraint — they are occupied, the public walks through them, and they cannot smell of solvent on Monday morning.

Warehouse & Industrial Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Warehouse & Industrial Coatings

Warehouse and industrial floor coatings in Oxnard serve a different kind of building than the inland distribution corridors do. The freight here is mostly agricultural and mostly perishable.

Urethane Cement Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Urethane Cement Flooring

Urethane cement is the floor that survives a packing house, and in Oxnard that makes it the most important system on our list. It is not a coating.

Quartz Broadcast Systems in Oxnard, CA

Quartz Broadcast Systems

A quartz broadcast floor is what you specify when you need genuine slip resistance and genuine durability and the floor still has to look presentable. Colored quartz aggregate — kiln-fired ceramic-coated silica rather than plain sand — is broadcast into a wet epoxy base until the surface will not accept another grain, then locked in with a grout coat and topcoats.

ESD & Anti-Static Flooring in Oxnard, CA

ESD & Anti-Static Flooring

ESD flooring is a grounding system that happens to look like a floor, specified wherever static discharge threatens product, process or people. Ventura County has a deeper need for it than its size suggests.

Chemical-Resistant Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Chemical-Resistant Flooring

Chemical-resistant flooring is specified against a list, not a category, and the list is what everyone skips. Standard bisphenol-A epoxy handles a surprising amount — mild alkalis, most detergents, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, diesel, coolant — and fails against concentrated acids, strong solvents and some oxidizers.

Commercial Kitchen Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Commercial Kitchen Flooring

Commercial kitchen flooring has to pass a health inspection, survive hot grease and hotter water, and keep a line cook upright at eleven at night. Those three demands pull against each other, which is why so many Oxnard and Ventura kitchens are still running on cracked quarry tile with grout nobody can get clean.

Showroom & Retail Floor Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Showroom & Retail Floor Coatings

A showroom floor has one job nobody puts on the drawing: make everything standing on it look better. Cars, boats, appliances, furniture, a rack of wetsuits.

Medical & Cleanroom Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Medical & Cleanroom Flooring

Medical and cleanroom flooring is designed around one idea: nowhere for anything to hide. No grout lines, no seam at the wall, no gap at a penetration, and a surface hard and non-porous enough that a disinfectant reaches all of it.

Concrete Grinding & Surface Prep in Oxnard, CA

Concrete Grinding & Surface Prep

Concrete grinding and surface preparation decides whether the coating above it lasts fifteen years or peels in fifteen months, and it is the first thing a low bid cuts. A resinous floor bonds mechanically.

Moisture Mitigation Systems in Oxnard, CA

Moisture Mitigation Systems

Moisture mitigation is the invisible half of a coating job and, in Oxnard specifically, it is the service that determines whether the rest of the work was worth doing. Concrete is porous.

Concrete Polishing in Oxnard, CA

Concrete Polishing

Polished concrete is not a coating at all, which is exactly why it matters so much in this city. Instead of adding a film on top of the slab, polishing uses progressively finer diamond tooling to grind, hone and refine the concrete itself, with a chemical densifier applied partway through that reacts with free lime and hardens the surface from within.

Floor Repair & Crack Filling in Oxnard, CA

Floor Repair & Crack Filling

Floor repair and crack filling is the least glamorous service we sell and usually the one with the best return. Cracks, spalls, pop-outs, blown joint edges and gouged drain surrounds do not stay the size they are.

Line Striping & Safety Marking in Oxnard, CA

Line Striping & Safety Marking

Line striping and safety marking is how a working floor stops being a surface and becomes a set of instructions. Aisles, pedestrian walkways, forklift lanes, staging and palletizing zones, dock positions, cooler thresholds, electrical panel clearances, fire extinguisher and eyewash access, chemical storage boundaries and do-not-block areas all get read off the floor at a glance by people who are already moving.

Patio & Pool Deck Coatings in Oxnard, CA

Patio & Pool Deck Coatings

Patio and pool deck coatings are an outdoor problem tackled with indoor materials, and on the coast the variables are salt, moisture and UV rather than heat. Standard epoxy has no business on an exposed deck here.

About Oxnard Elite Epoxy Flooring in Oxnard, CA

Oxnard Elite Epoxy Flooring has spent over 15 years installing resinous and polished concrete floors in Oxnard and across Ventura County, and the work here has a shape that inland contractors rarely encounter. Oxnard sits at the western edge of the Oxnard Plain and is the most populous city in the county with 202,063 residents.

It was incorporated in 1903 and named for Henry T. Oxnard, who built a sugar beet factory here in 1899, and agriculture never stopped being the point. The city produces roughly a third of California's annual strawberry volume, and the buildings that cool, grade, repack and ship that fruit have floor requirements a general coating contractor genuinely does not see.

So we specify against exposure rather than against a brochure. A hydro-cooler bay, a repack room, a blast freezer, a winery crush pad and a commercial kitchen each attack a floor differently, and organic acids, hot sanitation, thermal cycling across a cooler threshold and constant standing water are the four things that destroy the wrong system fastest.

Alongside that sits a completely different market: the defense and logistics base at Naval Base Ventura County and the Port of Hueneme, the only deepwater port between Los Angeles and San Francisco, plus the medical, retail and residential work in a city of this size.

What ties it together is measurement.

We grind or shot blast to a measured ICRI surface profile rather than acid etching, we test slab moisture to ASTM F1869 and ASTM F2170 before quoting rather than after a failure, and we check slab temperature against dew point before every pour, because marine humidity here will put an epoxy into an amine blush that ruins intercoat adhesion and looks fine until the day it does not.

Salt is the other coastal factor: chloride reaching reinforcing steel through a crack drives corrosion that pushes concrete apart from inside, so a spall with rust in it gets broken out and rebuilt rather than skimmed.

We are licensed, insured and bonded, every installation carries a written workmanship warranty, and se habla español — nearly three quarters of Oxnard residents are Hispanic or Latino and most of our job walks happen in Spanish.

How It Works

01

1. Walk the floor and test the slab

We ask what you process, how you clean, what drives on the floor and when your shutdown window is. Then we test slab moisture and surface pH, look at the joints, drains and existing failures, and find out what is already bonded to the concrete before quoting.

02

2. Grind or shot blast to profile

Shot blasting for large open packing house and warehouse floors, diamond grinding at edges, columns, drains and inside occupied buildings with HEPA-shrouded heads. Old coatings, mastic and efflorescence come off mechanically, never with acid.

03

3. Repair, fill joints, prime and detail

Spalls cut back to sound concrete, corroding reinforcement exposed and treated rather than skimmed over, joints filled full-depth with semi-rigid polyurea, moisture-mitigating primer where readings demand it, then coving and terminations at drains and thresholds.

04

4. Build the system and hand it back

Base, broadcast and topcoat at specified thickness with the anti-slip level matched to how the floor is really used, applied inside the dew point window. Then striping, a documented cure, and a return-to-service time you can plan a shift around.

What Oxnard Customers Say

★★★★★
They talked us out of epoxy in the cooling room and put in the urethane mortar instead, which cost more and was obviously right the first time the wash crew ran hot water on it. Two seasons in and the coving at the drains still looks new.
Miguel A. · Oxnard
★★★★★
Tested the garage slab before quoting and found a moisture problem two other companies never mentioned. The primer added to the price but the floor has been perfect for three years, which is more than I can say for the one it replaced.
Karen D. · Ventura
★★★★★
Packing shed floor done in phases over three weekends so we never stopped running. Clean crew, no dust in the graded product area, and the striping they put down has made the forklift traffic a lot less exciting.
Refugio N. · Santa Paula
★★★★★
Hangar floor. High build epoxy with the gloss clear and it made the whole building brighter. They rescheduled one day because of dew point, explained exactly why, and I appreciated that more than if they had just pushed through it.

Commercial epoxy flooring services in Oxnard, CA

Packing House, Cold Storage & Port Facility Floors

The Oxnard Plain grows about a third of California's strawberries, and almost none of that fruit leaves the county without crossing a concrete floor first.

Cooling rooms, repack lines, hydro-cooler bays, blast freezers and the refrigerated warehouses feeding the Port of Hueneme all put a floor through wash-down, organic acid, thermal cycling and constant water, which is the exact combination that lifts a standard epoxy off a slab within a season.

We specify troweled urethane cement with integral radiused coving in the wet and cold areas, resinous systems in the dry ones, and we schedule around the harvest push rather than around our own calendar.

  • Strawberry and vegetable cooling, repack and wash lines
  • Cold storage, coolers and blast freezer floors
  • USDA and FDA compliant integral coving and drain terminations
  • Refrigerated warehouse and port-adjacent distribution floors
  • Moisture vapor mitigation for slabs on irrigated ground
  • Phased night and weekend installs around the harvest window

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does epoxy flooring cost in Oxnard?

A residential garage flake system generally runs $5 to $9 per square foot installed, so most two-car garages land between $2,800 and $5,200. Solid color commercial coatings run $4 to $7, metallic $9 to $15, quartz broadcast $8 to $13, and troweled urethane cement $11 to $18 because it is a mortar rather than a coating.

The one line item that moves an Oxnard quote more than anywhere else is moisture mitigation. A slab that tests high needs a mitigating primer before anything else, and that can add $2 to $4 per square foot. It is also the difference between a floor that lasts and one that blisters.

Why do so many epoxy floors fail near the coast?

Moisture, mostly. Much of Oxnard sits close to sea level on ground that has been irrigated for over a century, and a lot of slabs were poured with no working vapor retarder. Vapor moving up through the slab collects under an impermeable coating until it lifts.

The second cause is amine blush: epoxy applied when the slab is within about five degrees of the dew point reacts with moisture and carbon dioxide to form a greasy film that the next coat cannot bond to. Both are avoidable, and both require testing and measurement rather than optimism.

What floor should a packing house or cooling room have?

Troweled urethane cement, in nearly every case. It expands and contracts at close to the same rate as concrete, so it survives the wash-down temperatures and thermal cycling that shear an epoxy off its bond line at the drains.

It resists citric and malic acid from fruit, lactic acid, sugars and the sanitizers used to clean them off, and it installs with an integral radiused cove that lets you actually clean the wall-to-floor junction. It costs more per square foot than epoxy and it lasts several times as long in that environment.

Can you install a floor without shutting our facility down?

In most cases. We work in phases with containment and clear routing so production and shipping keep running, and fast-cure polyaspartic can hand back a section that takes foot traffic the same evening. Nights, weekends and shoulder windows between harvest pushes are ordinary scheduling for us.

The exception is troweled urethane cement, whose cure cannot be compressed, so cooling rooms and wash lines need a real shutdown window planned well in advance. We would rather tell you that in June than discover it in September.

Is polished concrete a better option here than a coating?

Sometimes, and more often in this city than elsewhere. Polishing refines the slab itself with diamonds and a chemical densifier instead of adding a film, so there is nothing that can peel or blister and the floor stays breathable.

On a slab with high moisture vapor readings that would otherwise need an expensive mitigation primer, polishing can be both cheaper and more durable. It gives up chemical resistance and color choice in exchange, so a wash line or chemical storage area still wants a resinous system.

Do you work outside Oxnard?

Yes, across Ventura County and just over its edges — Ventura, Port Hueneme, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Carpinteria and the smaller communities between them. Agricultural and industrial work travels further than residential because crews and equipment stage on site for the duration of a project. Mileage is written into the estimate up front rather than added at the end.
